I've been thinking of making my vest a bit more ergonomic, and I've taken the first step in adding two plates to the top of the vest to have the straps at an angle so it follows the contour of my shoulders for a better weight distribution. It's not pretty, but if it works I'll have some better ones cut professionaly

To illustrate why I've done this I'd like to show you this pic of John (http://www.steadicenter.com/details.php?image_id=2837) and if you look at the chest plate you can see that the straps are twisted, so I assume the distribution isn't optimal.

The best fitting vests for me are the Steadicam vests, so I'm trying to mod mine to theirs.

Next I'll be working on different padding, but that will take a while...

ps. John, if you don't want your pic linked please say so!

This is a smart move Pascal. :) I can't wait to see the finish results. I too feel the steadicam vest are very comfortable. The areonamics are very very to the distribution of the weight. Ity has to conform to the body as to not produce any irrigularities.

Quick message (my internet conncetion is down, and I'm currently browsing with my mobile phone connected to my laptop via GPRS... $$$$$$$$$$$)

Though the Gold vest is a step up from the standard V-25 vest it still isn't a good fit. I believe different padding (foam) will be a good improvement as well, as the Gold padding is a bit hard on my fragile fisique.

Read your PM, charles. Will do so when internet is back up!
