Hi

WOW WOW WOW WOW!

The new clipper 2 looks awsome! :ninja: even I am being tempted back to steadicam now. I have not been a fan if the iso arms I admit that. However with the clipper 2 you can change the way the iso-elastic behaves and it is supposed to be awsome!

I can't wait for IBC2005

Sweeeet!!!

can someone post the product brochures of the Clipper 2 and the Archer, 'cause I can't seem to download them...

I guess they noticed the huge price gap between the Flyer and Clipper (1) and thought something had to done about it, hehe

I can hardly wait for the IBC-'05, still 4 more months to go though...

Pascal, just right click on it and save to disk.

BTW have you seen the alien in action? If not go to HBS forum and click on the link in the professional rig forum. You see the link for the clip- You'll get to see it in action performed by charles Papert. It's pretty much how I imagined it.

Hi Charles,

Yeah I saw that clip of the AR in action, and, just like you, it's pretty much what I expected. I've looked at the patents when there was first talk about this UFO, and I must say it looks stunning! Can't imagine the skill required to operate it... looking foreward to some demo clips

I did download the pdf files on the Tiffen site but Acrobat can't open them. I'll have an other try then.

Any chance you'll be at this years IBC?

Right, old Acrobat version (working on a laptop that's not mine)

Damn, Glidecam had my vote and now Steadicam comes with this thing, although it depends on what this rig's going to cost

Damn, those rigs look good!!!!!

They will definately cost more than the flyer and more than the glidecam gold. My guess at least.

In that case i still stand with my decision. More for less. The gold still can do more. 24v and more power exits. I only hope that glidecam will consider the hd option on the gold. Till now, i always found the tiffen rigs overpriced. I am curious to know how much this will cost

But that arm looks sweet indeed.

More interesting is that the arm is entirely make from custom extrusion, both the bones and wrist/elbow/shoulder blocks. This will make it lighter and stiffer. The use of extrusion should also make the arm a hell of a lot cheaper to make as machining from solid has extreme material wastage and long machining times. I bet this saving is not going to be passed on to the customer?
