I am looking at purchasing the Arrow 925 version, most of the time it will have a heavy camera on it but the camera I own only weighs 14 pounds. Will using a lighter camera on this model be an issue? will I need to add additional weight to the camera? Also any feedback on this model will be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,
Looking at the specifications on the Basson site, the minimum weight for this rig is 15 pounds, so your camera will likely be too lightweight, however, this is a problem I had when I had my Basson rig, it was suggested that I used lead flashing for house roofs to create some extra weight, it's cheap, easy to cut and fold, and make a hole it! You can easily add extra pounds by doing that, although it doesn't look fantastically professional!
The other thing I found with my old Basson rig is that it helped having the extra weight, made it easier to operate, which I found strange but it made sense, the heavier the sled, the harder it is to move and feel the effects of inertia, and I operated better with extra weight than without.
I really wouldn't buy one of Basson's extra weight plates, you can it yourself a lot cheaper elsewhere.
Hope this helps,
Jason

HI
get some steel plate heavy gauge and make a plate! a rig works best near it's max weight! so I would say go for a lower rig unless you going to be using cams around that weight often! I use a modded 600rc (same arm as the 800 but black and not stupid look at me yellow) and use Beta sp and can fly digi beta and even a 35mm Panavision LW $100k+ worth of camera! Don't ask I've never been so scared in my life so scared forget to get a pic!!!!!!!
